Tickets for the homecoming concert are free for Oxy students and employees with college ID, and $10 for family, friends, and the general public. The concert is one of many events scheduled for аIJʿª½±'s annual Homecoming and Family Weekend, Nov. 5-6.

"I wanted a wide variety of historical styles, so I chose choral chestnuts, which are famous or iconic pieces, as well as pop songs whose arrangements are pretty complex," said Desiree LaVertu, аIJʿª½±'s choral director.

The contemporary songs the Glee Club will perform include Michael Jackson's "Man in the Mirror" and "What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong. The choral ensemble will also sing works by 16th-century Italian composer Giovanni Palestrina, 19th-century German composer Johannes Brahms ("O Schone Nacht"), and Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg, as well as "аIJʿª½± Fair," the College alma mater, and a medley of football cheers.

аIJʿª½±'s Glee Club has played a central role in the life of the College since 1906. For more information about the Glee Club, go here.
